The Joey Bella Memorial Fund is an all-volunteer organization, helping individuals and families in and around the Denville, NJ area who need assistance covering the health care and related expenses of a seriously ill child. In addition to financial support, we also work with families to help them obtain assistance through the New Jersey Children’s Catastrophic Illness Act.
Who qualifies for our assistance?
The Joey Bella Memorial Fund is non-sectarian and non-denominational. Although it was originally created for children with leukemia and diseases that attack the bone marrow and blood system, young victims of other catastrophic illnesses or accidents who live in Denville and the surrounding areas are also eligible for assistance.
Learning that a child is suffering from a life-threatening illness is surely the darkest day in any parent’s life. The feeling of helplessness. The desperation. It’s an emotional rollercoaster ride even without the added stress of trying to figure out how to pay for treatment.
Without your support, we would not be able to provide the level of care and assitance for all of our families! Every dollar, every bill paid, every hour of volunteer time affects each one of the over 5 families we help each year.
There are several ways you can get involved with the JBMF family – whether it is donating, volunteering, or attending one of our annual events.
Our largest fundraiser, the Tricky Tray will take place the night before our Band, Beer, and Beefsteak. DJ Lafave playing music & calling numbers all night!
The BBB is an annual event that includes a beefsteak dinner, dancing, live entertainment from The Benjamins, and 16+ microbrews.
